Out in the hills or on your way to work, the Metrix 20 Disc will keep you fit and healthy. It features a lightweight and durable alloy frame paired with a carbon fork that adds small-bump compliance. The endurance geometry puts the rider in a more comfortable, upright position. A Shimano Tiagra drivetrain provides a wide gear range for varying terrain as well as quick and accurate shifting. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes are specced for confidence-inspiring braking power, keeping you in control even in wet conditions. A set of Syncros Race rims on Formula Team hubs produces a strong wheel, while the Schwalbe Spicer 35mm tires help smooth out rough roads and offer loads of tarmac-grabbing grip. Bar ends on the grips are ideal for powering up hills or for using multiple hand positions on longer rides.

This is not a comfort bike, but it makes up for that in that I am less fatigued during and after my rides. It climbs hills better than my comfort bikes that have Granny gears. If you absolutely must have 100% comfort this is the wrong type of bike for you. But if you are physically capable or riding with a slight leaning forward you may prefer this bike over a comfort bike. You do get to sit up straight when just cruising on level surfaces for a minute or two. Trying a smaller size bike helped reduce forward leaning position for me. Adding a rear fender is EXTREAMLY difficult because of the position of brake cable, but doable. Ports for mounting fenders are filled with an extremely hard material that can only be removed by drilling a small Pilot hole being careful not to hit any of the metal threads. This is my experience with the bike having only about 60 miles on it. I don't discuss quality because frankly I have a German made bike that as far as I can tell beats every bike I've seen in the quality market in the 700 to 2K price range. Overall, I am pleased with the bike because it really fits my needs. Beware that 60 miles of riding is no guarantee that I will be just as pleased after 1000 miles or more. P.S. I ride on roads about 12-15 miles on each trip.
